Dr. James has been in ministry since 1976.  A native of New Jersey, James has always enjoyed traveling.  In the 1970′s and 1980′s, James attended Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Philadelphia, PA.  During this time with the permission of his Pastor, Benjamin Smith he had the opportunity to study under great men of God such as Morris Cerullo, Kenneth Hagin and Oral Roberts to name a few.  In his loyal service to Pastor Smith, James headed up a weekly evangelism team which culminated into his own ministry, (then Soul Searchers Evangelism Ministries).  In 1987, he was commissioned to start a church, thus birthing Soul Searchers Evangelism Ministries (now known as GateKeepers Ministries International).  After being ordained with Jameson College for many years, in 1993, James and his wife Deana, became ordained under Dr. Bill Hamon (founder of Christian International Ministries).  Apostle James received his Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Christian International Ministries in 2002 along with GateKeepers Church receiving the first Church of Transformation award.   James and Deana have been married going on 26 years and are the parents of James David Treadwell III, a 2009 graduate of Liberty University.
